Clinical Director - Longwell Green area branches

Ciara joined Longwell Green Veterinary Centre in February 2013 as a veterinary surgeon having qualified from Nottingham University in 2011. She previously gained a veterinary nursing and practical administration degree from Bristol University.  Ciara has a special interest in medicine, surgery and imaging (ultrasound and x-ray) and when she's not at the surgery she likes to go skiing whenever possible. Ciara is now Clinical Director for our branches in Longwell Green, Keynsham, Stockwood and Brislington.

Veterinary Surgeon

Sarah joined Highcroft as a Veterinary Surgeon in March 2015 having qualified in 2006 from the Royal Veterinary College, London. She is based at our Longwell Green Veterinary Centre and also consults at our Keynsham surgery. Sarah has a special interest in rabbit medicine and has three rabbits, Sooty, Sweep and Florence, as well as two tortoises, Toby and Grace.

When not at work Sarah enjoys walking and going to the theatre and concerts.

Annalisa joined Highcroft in July 2015 having qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon, from Universita Degli Studi Di Torino, Italy, in 2013. Annalisa works at Longwell Green Veterinary Centre and occasionally consults at Stockwood. She has a special interest in medicine. Outside of work she enjoys travelling, art, photography and reading.

Matt qualified from Bristol University in 2010 and joined us in 2013 as an intern. Matt is now a full time veterinary surgeon based at Longwell Green Veterinary Centre and Weston Village Vets.

Matt has a parrot called Dylan and enjoys archery in his spare time.

Veterinary Surgeon

Julie qualified from Bristol Veterinary School in 1985, and has been a core member of our Longwell Green Veterinary Centre since 1992. She is really keen on all things feline, and runs our ‘Cat Clinics.’ She also loves anything complicated, such as cardiology, neurology and oncology!  She has an interest in gardening, including an allotment and likes keep fit and skiing.

Sarah joined Highcroft as a Veterinary Surgeon in May 2016 having qualified from Liverpool University in July 2012. She is based at our Longwell Green Veterinary Centre and has an interest in diagnostic imaging, in particular ultrasound.

Outside of work Sarah likes to participate in running long distance events and triathlons and has a 4 year old domestic short haired cat called Bradley.

Joe is a senior member of our Longwell Green Veterinary Centre team having joined the practice in 1994.

Joe has a very 'vetty' life. As a child he had every animal his parents would tolerate! He decided to be a vet at the age of ten, is married to another vet, and thoroughly loves his work!  He has a special interest in internal medicine especially cardiology and enjoys a variety of hobbies in his spare time such as reading, writing and poetry and more active pursuits such as running, swimming, sailing and kayaking!

Tracey started work at Longwell Green Veterinary Centre straight from school in 1996, and has worked her way up to Head Surgical Nurse. In her spare time she has two Burmilla cats which are quite a handful.  She is also the choreographer for KLOGS, a local operatic group.

Originally from Cardiff, Cherie came over the bridge to Bristol at the age of seventeen to follow a veterinary nursing career. When first working with us back then she would often say something like “ruddwyn weddy bllyno lan!” (Welsh for “am I tired!”) but now as a full-time working Mum she has boundless energy, keeping the people side of the practice in order. Cherie is one of our most senior nurses at our Longwell Green surgery.

Sue has a long history of veterinary nursing and joined Longwell Green Veterinary Centre in September 2009. She has also achieved the Certificate in Applied Animal Behaviour from Southampton University, and runs behaviour clinics to deal with all the problems our pets might encounter.

Olivia graduated from a Vet Nursing Degree at Langford in July 2006 and joined our Longwell Green Veterinary Centre immediately after. She has a special interest in chronic kidney disease in cats.

Becky joined Highcroft in July 2016 as a veterinary nurse and is based at our Longwell Green Veterinary Centre, having qualified from Elsbridge House, Keynsham. She has a particular interest in cats and has two cats Humphrey and Kiki.

Becky also has a Papillion called Dotty and enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and holidays.

Sarah joined Highcroft in August 2016 as a veterinary nurse based at our Longwell Green Veterinary Centre.

She qualified from Bristol University in 2016 and has a Batchelor of Science in Veterinary Nursing and Bio-veterinary Sciences. Sarah has an interest in exotics having written her dissertation on rabbit behaviour and stress.

Outside of work Sarah is interested in photography and is self teaching and learning Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) photography.

Alice started off as an afternoon receptionist at our Longwell Green Veterinary Centre and is now training to become a  qualified veterinary nurse.  She is very keen to help the local wildlife and regularly takes in hedgehogs, mice and birds that need a bit of TLC.

Maxine joined Highcroft in May 2016 as a Kennel Assistant based at our Eastville Veterinary Centre. She is now based at our Longwell Green Veterinary Centre, responsible for caring, feeding, walking pets as and where required.  Maxine also assists our vets and nurses and makes sure that everything is clean, tidy and organised.

Maxine has two chinchillas, two rabbits and one cat.

Teresa is a Senior Reception for our Longwell Green and Keynsham surgeries. 

Teresa joined Highcroft in 2006 as a Receptionist at Stockwood moving to our Keynsham branch in 2007 before becoming the branches senior receptionist in 2014.  In 2015 she also became Senior Receptionist for our Stockwood surgery and took on the role of Trainer for two years. T 

Teresa has a cat called Twinkle and a naughty Cairn Terrier called Percy.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and pets and spoiling her budgies. She has two budgies, Lola and Joey and tropical fish. She also enjoys travelling and going shopping.

Jo has been working as a receptionist at our Longwell Green Veterinary Centre since 2003 and is renowned for being totally unflappable, even with a queue of clients at the desk and the phones ringing off the hook. She is a fan of both Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and Persians, and in total has a menagerie of thirteen animals at home.

Julie is Practice Manager for our Longwell Green, Keynsham, Stockwood and Brislington surgeries. She first joined Highcroft in February 2014 and gained hands on experience in many of our branch surgeries in the lead up to becoming our Head Receptionist at Shirehampton Village Vets. In Jan 2015, Julie took on the role of Head of Reception, responsible for all the receptionists across the group.

Julie has a Westie who is 'very spoilt'. In her spare time Julie enjoys dining out, cinema and reading.
