Heidi Mittens

Practice Manager

Heidi Mittens

Heidi joined the practice as a student veterinary nurse in 1996 and qualified in 2000.

In 2004 she took on the role of Partner's Assistant, and in 2009 she was promoted to Practice Manager.

Heidi deals with the day to day running of the practice, dealing with personnel issues, liaising with suppliers and generally ensuring that everything runs smoothly.

Caroline Saunders

Caroline joined Highcroft in 2006 initially as a receptionist.

In 2009 she set up the Pet Health Scheme for us.

More recently Caroline took over the role of Staff Manager for the practice, making use of her past experience in HR.

Jane Davidson

Jane Davidson

Jane joined the practice in 2004 to help with the marketing communications at the practice.

Her role involves managing the advertising, public relations, brochures and leaflets, website and all marketing communications to clients, vets and the general public.

Sue Davies

Office Manager and Telephonist

Sue Davies

Sue joined Highcroft in 1999 as a highly experienced receptionist and telephonist within the medical profession.

Sue has the complex and unenviable task of organising the veterinary staff and producing their rotas.

She is also one of the first people to help clients on the telephone at our Whitchurch hospital and surgery, answering general enquiries, booking appointments and directing them to the appropriate people.

June Long

June Long

June joined Highcroft as a telephonist January 2008.

As well as answering the telephone at our Whitchurch Hospital and Surgery, June prepares all various information packs and goody bags for our clients.

Bernadette Gearing

Bernadette Gearing

Bernie is a part time telephonist at our Wells Road Hospital and Surgery, helping answer calls at our busiest times.

She joined Highcroft in 2008.

Nicki Peters

Pet Insurance Advisor

Nicki Peters

Nicki joined Highcroft in June 1999, initially as a receptionist at our Whitchurch surgery. Since then she has qualified as a Pet Insurance Advisor with Pet Plan and now runs our Pet Insurance Department along with Vicki.

That means that Nicki costs up all the claims for our vets and deals with any queries that clients may have related to their pet insurance, whether it is to do with a claim or a query about their policy.

Gill Tooze

Gill Tooze

Gill initially joined Highcroft as a receptionist at our Whitchurch hospital and surgery and has since joined the insurance team as a Pet Insurance Advisor.

Gill works at our Whitchurch hospital and surgery, dealing with pet insurance claims and helping clients with their insurance queries.

Tina Yarde

Tina

Tina joined Highcroft in 2010 as a Pet Insurance Advisor, covering for Nicki Peters whilst she goes off on maternity leave.

Tina works with Gill at our Whitchurch hospital and surgery, dealing with pet insurance claims and helping clients with their insurance queries.

Mandy Hawker

Mandy joined Highcroft in 2008 as a daytime receptionist at our Whitchurch hospital and surgery. Since then she has taken on the role of Pet Health Scheme Administrator aswell as keeping her hand in on reception one day a week.

Kathryn Pool

Kathryn Pool

Kathryn joined the practice in 1990 and is our second longest serving member of staff.

She looks after our accounts department and helps with the computer systems.

Angela Sims

Angela Sims

Angela joined Highcroft in 1996 as a receptionist at our Whitchurch surgery.

In 2000 Angela helped set up our Pet Insurance Department at Stockwood which she ran jointly with Nicki Peters until 2009.

Angela is now back at Whitchurch using her valuable experience to help with the heavy load of administration here at 'head office'.

Brian Jacobs

Ambulance Driver

Brian Jacobs

Brian joined Highcoft in 2005 as our ambulance driver, and also to help out with the general maintenance of our practices.

As our ambulance driver Brian collects and delivers pets for our clients, as necessary, and transports them between surgeries comfortably and safely.

He also transports equipment and supplies between surgeries and, on request, delivers large volumes of pet food to our clients' homes.

Bob Creed

Angela Sims

Bob joined Highcroft in 2010 as an additional ambulance driver.

Bob does a similar job to Brian Jacobs collecting and delivering pets and transporting equipment and supplies as required.
