Every year we see countless numbers of rabbits with Flystrike, a condition that can easily be prevented.

What is Flystrike?

Flystrike is caused by flies that land on the rabbit and lay eggs. These eggs quickly hatch into maggots and the maggots eat the rabbit's flesh. it almost always starts around the rabbit's bottom as flies are attracted to faeces.

Now is the time to act!

Flystrike occurs during the summer months with the warmer weather. It can happen very quickly (within 24 hours) and is often fatal.

To prevent your rabbit from the risk of Flystrike this summer, book a FREE appointment with our Practice Nurse in March or April and she will give your rabbit a FULL HEALTH CHECK, give you all the advice you need and, if required, apply your rabbit's Rear Guard treatment (with a 10% DISCOUNT!*)

Please protect your pet!
