NEW Pet Behaviour Clinics at Highcroft
Is you pet is behaving strangely? Does your pet have phobias, separation anxiety, show compulsive behaviour, hate travelling, bark constantly or behave destructively when left alone? Does your pet urinate or defecate inappropriately? Is your pet generally stressed or nervous?
If so, help is at hand. Gin Board VN, our clinic nurse, has an Advanced Diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour and now runs Pet Behaviour clinics for cats and dogs, Monday to Friday, at the Wells Road Hospital and Surgery.
Problems with aggression are referred elsewhere and Gin will be happy to discuss these with you and advise you on how to proceed and who to see.
Feel free to call Gin on 01275 832410 in the first instance to discuss any behaviour issues your pet may have. Alternatively, book a consultation with reception (same number). The clinics focus on cats and dogs (no snakes please - send them to Polly!).
First consultations with Gin are charged £50 (inc. VAT) and take approximately one and a half hours. Gin will take a full history, assess your pet's character and from there develop a plan with you on how to address the particular problem. You will then have a full report sent to you by email.
Your consultation will by followed up with support telephone calls as necessary, however, in some cases a subsequent consultation may be required (these are at a lower rate of £22.33). Home visits can also be arranged where necessary.
If it's your dog that has a problem and you think it is purely a training issue, Gin can point you in the direction of an excellent trainer, Steve Bartholomew at www.activedogservices.co.uk.
Call 01275 832410 for a chat with Gin or to book an appointment.
