We are here, behind the scenes, to help ensure the smooth running of the practice. We include the insurance department, accounts, communications, marketing, customer services, health and safety, human resources and practice management.

Amie Britton
RVN, Pet Health Councellor (PHC)
Practice Manager - Bath and Somerset branches

Amie joined us in June 2015 having qualified as a veterinary nurse from Bristol University in September 1999. Amie ran our very popular nurse clinics at Highcroft Veterinary Hospital and many of our surgeries, until she was promoted to Practice Manager for our branches in Midsomer Norton, Frome, Haycombe, Weston Village. 

Outside of work, Amie is married with two children and enjoys walks in the countryside and camping. She has a Level 2 in British Sign Language and also enjoys eating out and a large glass of wine!

Julie Brodie
Practice Manager - Longwell Green area branches

Julie joined us in February 2014 and gained hands on experience in many of our branch surgeries in the lead up to becoming our head receptionist at Shirehampton Village Vets. In Jan 2015, Julie took on the role of Head of Reception, responsible for all the receptionists across the group.

Julie has now been promoted to Practice Manager for our branches in Longwell Green, Keynsham, Stockwood and Brislington.

Julie has a Westie who is 'very spoilt'. In her spare time Julie enjoys dining out, cinema and reading.

Martha

Martha Milliner
Hospital Manager

Martha joined Highcroft in December 2014 as a laboratory technician to run our state-of-the-art blood sampling laboratory at our hospital in Whitchurch. With a special interest in cytology, the structure and function of cells and microbiology, looking at micro- organisms, she made the lab run like clock-work.

Martha has since been promoted to Hospital Manager of Highcroft Veterinary Hospital and Referral Centre, assisting our Hospital Director in the smooth running of the practice.

Outside of work, she loves horse riding and has two dogs - Olive, a Italian Spinone and Trevor, a French Pointer.

Gill Tooze
Practice Manager - Bristol branches

Gill joined Highcroft in 2009, initially as a Receptionist and then progressed through our Insurance team and Marketing Department. After a varied workload and plenty of experience over the years, Gill has since been promoted to Practice Manager of our branches in Eastville, Shirehampton and Ashton.

Outside of work, Gill enjoys playing tennis and has two cocker spaniels, Willow and Hector.

Group Support Administrator

Kate joined Highcroft in June 2015 as a part time Administrator in our Whitchurch Hospital and surgery. Kate's helps out on Healthy Pet Club admin and processes pet insurance claims.

Outside of work Kate has a Lhasa Apso called Smithy and a cat called Lulu. Kate also enjoys skittles, socialising and eating out.

Amy Coles
Pharmacy and Consumables Stock Manager

Amy joined Highcroft in September 2014 in the role of Pharmacy and Consumables Stock Manager. She is based at our Whitchurch Veterinary Hospital and surgery and is responsible for all ordering, stock control and pharmacy legislation.

Outside of work she has two horses called Bronnie and Bubbles, a cat called Lola and a kitten called Elvis and is interested in anything horsey.

Jane Davidson
Marketing Manager

Jane joined the practice in 2004 to help with the marketing communications at the practice.

Her role involves managing the advertising, public relations, brochures and leaflets, website and all marketing communications to clients, vets and the general public.

With two teenage boys and a lively cocker spaniel, Jane spends much of her spare time taxi-driving or in a field.

Pharmacy Assistant

Laura joined Highcroft in October 2016 to help out at our busy Whitchurch Veterinary Hospital and surgery. Laura assists Amy Cole in ordering, stock control and pharmacy legislation.

She has two dogs, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and a Jack Russell and a Bearded Dragon.

Jess joined our Group Support administration team in February 2016. She covers our Healthy Pet and insurance department and is also involved in organising staff rotas.

Outside of work Jess has a Scottie dog called Billy and enjoys going on walks with him, watching films, socialising and reading.

Telephonist

Mandy joined Highcroft in February 2012 as a part time telephonist/receptionist to help with the increasing number of calls and visitors to our Whitchurch hospital and surgery. Mandy helps with booking appointments, answering client queries and looking after pets and their owners in reception.

Telephonist

June joined Highcroft as a telephonist in January 2008.

As well as answering the telephone at our Whitchurch Hospital and Surgery, June prepares all various information packs and goody bags for our clients and helps prepare all our mailings.

Jean joined Highcroft in 2007 and initially worked as a part time receptionist in our Ashton surgery and Keynsham Veterinary Centre. Jean's is now a Group Support Administrator looking after our pet insurance claims and our Healthy Pet Club.

Receptionist/Telephonist

Jackie joined Highcroft in 2011 as one of our part time receptionists. She works at our Whitchurch hospital and surgery and looks after clients and their pets in reception and also answers the phone and deals with client appointments and queries.

Administrator

Angela joined Highcroft in 1996 as a receptionist at our Whitchurch surgery.

In 2000 Angela helped set up our Pet Insurance Department at Stockwood.  Angela is now back at Whitchurch using her valuable experience to help with the heavy load of administration here at 'head office'.

Debbie joined us in 2010 as a receptionist at the Whitchurch hospital and surgery.  She has since become Pet Insurance Advisor in our Insurance Department at Whitchurch and part-time receptionist at our Ashton surgery.

Birgitte joined Highcroft in October 2013 as our Customer Services Manager and is based at our Whitchurch hospital and surgery.  She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from her previous role with John Lewis and is responsible for customer service and receptionists at all our surgeries.

Wendy joined Highcroft in February 2016 as a telephonist at our busy Highcroft Hospital and Surgery at Whitchurch.

She has a Westie called Daisy who is a grand old lady at 13.

Wendy enjoys reading autobiographies and taking holidays in Dorset.

Pharmacy Assistant

Kelly joined Highcroft in December 2013 as a part time receptionist/telephonist is based at our Whitchurch Hospital and surgery. In 2015 she transferred to help our Pharmacy and Consumables Stock Manager and is now our Pharmacy Assistant. 

Kelly has a dog called Birt,two cats called Georgie and Cat and three rabbits called Willow, Iris and Silvie. She is a keen supporter of rabbit welfare and helps out at a local rabbit rescue.
