Tazmin Barratt
Senior Receptionist

Tazmin joined Highcroft in January 2016 as a Senior Receptionist. She is based at our Silva House Veterinary Centre at Midsomer Norton. As a receptionist she helps with booking appointments, answering clients queries and looking after pet owners in reception.

Tazmin owns no less that five horses, enjoys riding and competes at local competitions. She also has two dogs, a Shitzu and a Shitzu/Pug cross and one cat.

Kim joined Highcroft in 2005 as the Senior Receptionist and Auxiliary Nurse at our Brislington surgery.

Kim does an excellent job at looking after the clients and their pets.

Joyce joined Highcroft in 2003 and is responsible for the smooth running of the Ashton practice and helps our vets in the surgery.

Joyce can offer advice on the appropriate diet for a pet's age and lifestyle, and she is also responsible for making sure that the surgery is fully stocked with appropriate pet accessories and consumables.

Theresa joined Highcroft in April 2014 and is now Senior Receptionist at Shirehampton Village Vets.

As a receptionist she helps with booking appointments, answering clients queries and looking after pet owners in reception. Theresa also holds a NVQ Level 1 & 2 certificate in Customer Services.

When she's not at Highcroft Theresa enjoys spending time with her five grandchildren and her dog Ted, a gorgeous cockerpoo.

Jodie joined Highcroft in September 2014 as a receptionist in our Veterinary Referrals centre. She now leads the referrals reception team as the Senior Receptionist.

She works with our referral and specialist vets, booking appointments and looking after pet owners who are referred to us by their own vets for specialist advice and treatment at the hospital and referral centre in Whitchurch.

Senior Receptionist

Sadie joined Highcroft in January 2015 as our senior receptionist at our Haycombe Veterinary Centre. As a senior receptionist she will be responsible for looking after clients and their pets and the general running of the surgery.

Sadie is mad about rabbits! She lives with Lilly the cat and a total of five rabbits, Abel, Cash, Freddie, Lunar and Moe. In her spare time she loves to visit animal sanctuaries (probably rescuing more rabbits) and enjoys painting drawing and making things.

Senior Receptionist

Jayne joined Highcroft in 2001 and is now our Senior Receptionist, supporting the team and looking after the waiting area at our Whitchurch hospital and surgery.

Jayne is also a Hill's Pet Nutrition Counsellor offering advice to our clients on the appropriate diet for their pet's age and lifestyle. Jayne is actively involved in dog agility training and runs classes in the local area

Ali will often be the first person to welcome you when you come into our Longwell Green Veterinary Centre reception. When the practice became part of Highcroft Veterinary Group she became Longwell Green's Senior Receptionists.

She has two cats, Ken and Pip, and a tortoise called Timmy.

Senior Receptionist and Training Co-ordinator

Teresa joined Highcroft in 2006 as a receptionist at Stockwood moving to our Keynsham branch in 2007 before becoming the branches senior receptionist in 2014.  In 2015 she also became senior receptionist for our Stockwood surgery and took on the role of trainer. Teresa is responsible for receptionist and product training.  

She has a cat called Twinkle and a Cairn Terrier called Percy.

Debbie is the Senior Receptionist at Weston Village Vets. Before she joined us in October 2013, Debbie had a career in finance whilst bringing up her two children. However, Debbie says she has always wanted to work with animals and used to keep Lop Eared rabbits as a hobby. She now has a Border Terrier dog called Jimmy who loves to go running with her.

Kate joined us as a receptionist in 2011 and shares her time between our Whitchurch hospital and surgery and Ashton surgery looking after clients and pets. She has a Cairn Terrier called Roxy.

Claire joined our Silva House Veterinary Centre on April 2008 as a receptionist and looks after clients and their pets in reception.

She has two dogs, Moo a staffy and Ruby a mastiff cross. She enjoys walking the dogs, making personalised pet beds, baking and spending time with her grand daughter.

Lisa has two tortoiseshell cats called Daisy and Sophie and enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Wendy joined Silva House in October 2004 as a receptionist and is based at our Midsomer Norton Veterinary Centre. She looks after clients and their pets in reception, making appointments and answering queries.

Wendy has a Labrador called Daxter Douglas Dyson Dawes and enjoys walking, bird watching and cooking.

Jess joined Highcroft in August 2014 as a receptionist and is based at our Eastville Veterinary Centre. She helps with booking appointments, answering clients queries and looking after pet owners in reception.

Jess has two horses, a gypsy cob mother and son and two rabbits, a dwarf lop and lionhead. In her spare time she enjoys horse riding and showing and is interested in water sports and marine conservation.

Kitty joined Highcroft in February 2016 as a telephonist and receptionist at our busy Highcroft Hospital and surgery in Whitchurch.

She has a dog called Bertie, a Border Terrier, aged 7.

Outside of work Kitty enjoys kayaking, running and reading.

Margaret Brown

Margaret has been with the practice since June 1998.

As well as looking after our clients and their pets on reception, Margaret ensures that the practice is well stocked with pet foods, consumables and accessories. She is also a fully trained Bereavement Counsellor offering support and comfort to clients who have lost their pets, and holds advanced certificates in Small Animal Nutrition from Hill's Pet Nutrition.

Carolyn originally joined Highcroft in November 2013 as a part time receptionist based at our Keynsham and Whitchurch surgeries. She then transferred to our busy Veterinary Referrals Centre before returning to the main reception at  our Highcroft Hospital in Whitchurch and also covering our Stockwood surgery.  She helps with booking appointments, answering clients queries and looking after pet owners in reception

Outside of work Carolyn enjoys horse riding and has a horse and two dogs, a Jack Russell and a Chihuahua.

Sam joined Highcroft in September 2016 as a telephonist/receptionist and is based at our Whitchurch Hospital and Surgery. She helps with booking appointments, answering clients queries and looking after pet owners in reception.

Sam has a  working cocker spaniel called Belle who is 5 years old and enjoys dog walking, agility and competing.

Natasha joined us in February 2015 as a receptionist at our Ashton Veterinary Surgery. She helps with booking appointments, answering clients queries and looking after pet owners in reception.

Natasha has two Weimaraners, two gerbils, two bearded dragons and two rabbits. The animals came in two by two! She enjoys football and gardening in her spare time.

Receptionist

Chloe joined us in 2013 under the Apprentice Scheme based at our Longwell Green Veterinary Centre. Chloe now works part time as a Receptionist at our Silva House branch in Midsomer Norton in addition to her normal role as a Regional Practice Management System Trainer for our larger group.

Chloe was nominated and won the Bristol and Bath "Outstanding Apprentice of the Year award" 2014 in the financial and business services category.

Chloe has always grown up with animals, from horses to hamsters, and has a golden retriever called Cassie and is hoping to get another one to keep Cassie company.  In her spare time Chloe takes part in dance and motorbike trials and has won many different trophies and qualifications.

Denise is a receptionist at our Silva House practice in Midsomer Norton and also runs puppy party classes. As a receptionist she is responsible for looking after clients and their pets when they arrive at the surgery, making appointments and answering any client queries.

Emma joined our Silva House Veterinary Centre in January 2000 as a receptionist. As a receptionist she is responsible for looking after clients and their pets when they arrive at the surgery, making appointments and answering any client queries.

Emma adopted two rabbits that she rescued from the surgery, Rosemary and Martha and enjoys all things musical including theatre, singing and playing the piano.

Sara joined the Highcroft team in October 2015 as a Receptionist and is based at our Frome Vetererinary Centre. She helps with booking appointments, answering clients queries and looking after pet owners in reception. 

Sara loves all things cat and has two eight year old cats Jack and Lily. Lily is something of an internet celebrity and has her own facebook page - Wonky Eye Kitty. 

Sara's other interests are vintage fashion, baking and travelling (especially the USA)

Outside of Highcroft she enjoys family genealogy research and reading historical fiction. She has a dog called Poppy a labrador/retriever cross who is 13 years old.

At home Zoe has two cats Scampy and Scrumpy and a bearded dragon called Miku. In her spare time she enjoys visiting secondhand shops and car boot sales.

Alison joined us in June 2015 as a receptionist based at our Whitchurch Hospital and surgery. She helps with booking appointments, answering clients queries and looking after pet owners in reception. She has a special interest in animal physiotherapy.

Ali has a dog called Frodo, who is a 9 year old Labrador/Collie cross and a 13 year old cat called Sukie. She also has three Silver Appleyard ducks who are two years old. Outside of work Ali enjoys horse riding, dance, music, motor sport and walking her dog.

Julia joined our Frome branch in 1988  and keeps us, and the clients, entertained with her wonderful sense of humour! She works at our Frome Veterinary Centre as a receptionist.

She has a 5 year old Labradoodle called Grace and enjoys dog walking, spending time with her family and camping in their camper van.

Katie has three border collies Dief, Dug and Nike and together they enjoy flyball and obedience. She also competes with Dug in agility trials and competitions.

Lesley looks after clients and their pets in reception and generally helps to make sure that the surgery is running smoothly. She also works part time at our Longwell Green branch in credit control.

Jane joined us in October 2013 as a part-time receptionist and has been looking after clients at our Weston Village surgery since it opened in January 2014.  Jane and her family are animal lovers whose menagerie includes a golden 'oldie' retriever, two cats and tropical fish.   Jane is also an experienced hairdresser and loves anything to do with hair and beauty.

Jo has been working as a receptionist at our Longwell Green Veterinary Centre since 2003 and is renowned for being totally unflappable, even with a queue of clients at the desk and the phones ringing off the hook. She is a fan of both Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and Persians, and in total has a menagerie of thirteen animals at home.

Joanna joined Highcroft in March 2015 as a telephonist and is based at our Highcroft Hospital in Whitchurch.  She answers the phone, deals with clients queries and makes appointments.

Jo is a Second Year mature vet student Bristol University, have two female house rabbits called Margot and Vera, and a warmblood mare called Indy. She enjoys outdoor activities when she is not studying.

Outside of work she has two dogs called Sid and Meg. Sid is a crossbreed and Meg is a Staffie. She also enjoys playing violin and advanced driving. Not at the same time obviously!

Lisa joined Highcroft in November 2014 as a receptionist at our Keynsham Veterinary Centre. As a receptionist she helps with booking appointments, answering client queries and looking after pet owners in reception. Lisa has previous experience with animals having worked at a kennels and has also completed an animal care course.

She has two cats Socks and Jerry and has 'adopted' four kittens from a stray that she has been looking after. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys eating out and shopping.

Natalee joined HIghcroft in March 2016 as a part time Receptionist at our Frome and Midsomer Norton Veterinary Centres. She helps with booking appointments, answering clients queries and looking after pet owners in reception.

Natalee loves animals and has no less than 24 rats, and African pygmy hedgehog, a cat and a Beagle! When not at work or looking after her animals she enjoys films, reading, shopping and spending time with the family.

Lydia joined Highcroft in August 2014 as full time receptionist at our Longwell Green Veterinary Centre. As a receptionist she helps with booking appointments, answering clients queries and looking after pet owners in reception.

Lydia has a variety of pets including a French Lop rabbit, aged 14, called Pudding, a Bearded Dragon called Grub, a Chameleon called Goggles, a Python called Loki and two cats. If this wasn't enough to keep her busy she also has a special interest in Herpetology, the study of amphibians so perhaps her collection will expand even further!

Kirstie joined Highcroft in June 2014 as a receptionist/administrator and is based at our Whitchurch Hospital and Surgery. In 2015 Kirstie took over the role of liaising with all our new clients, welcoming them to the practice and helping them with any queries they may have.

As a receptionist she helps with booking appointments, answering clients queries and looking after pet owners in reception.

Kirstie has two guinea pigs called Crunchie and Galaxy and enjoys walking and gardening on her allotment.

Laura has two cats and two dogs, brother and sister. She is interested in animals, photography, seeing friends and going to the gym.
