Our team of fully qualified veterinary nurses provide excellent support for both veterinary surgeons and reception staff and, more importantly, for you and your pet, including free telephone advice and health clinics.

Natasha joined Highcroft in 1992 and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1999.

As our head nurse, Natasha looks after the pharmacy and the nursing staff, ensuring that our high standard of clinical care is maintained. She is currently studying for a management qualification with the Chartered Institute of Management. Natasha also works closely with the Bristol League for Cats (rescue charity), helping them where she can and liaising with them on our behalf.

Vicki joined Highcroft in 1999 and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2005. She also holds a certificate in Parasitology and a BVNA Certificate in Dentistry. 

As Deputy Head Nurse, and in addition to her nursing duties, Vicki manages the Pharmacy and helps Natasha and Laura manage the nursing staff.

As well as her RCVS Veterinary Nursing qualification, Laura has a Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Nursing Science. As Deputy Nurse Manager, and in addition to her nursing duties, Laura supports Vicki and Natasha.

Beth spent time with Highcroft whilst doing her training at Hartpury College and stayed with us when she became qualified in October 2015. She is based at our surgery and main hospital at Wells Road, Whitchurch.

When not working Beth enjoys hockey, running and surfing. She also enjoys music, church and volunteering at youth clubs.

Kirstan joined Highcroft in 2003 to support the vets at our Stockwood surgery and run nurse clinics.  She transferred to our main hospital and surgery in Whitchurch in 2010.  In her spare time (if you could call it that) Kirstan is run off her feet with four boys and a dog.

Annette is a farmers daughter with her own animals at home. She wanted to become a veterinary nurse and joined Silva House in 2005 where she went on to train and qualified in 2011.

She enjoys orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery and general nursing.

When not at work Annette is a sheep farmer with her husband and has four dogs, Tilly and Breeze, cocker spaniels and Tessa and Ted, border collies.

Sam joined Highcroft in 2006 as our Kennel Person having been with us twice before on work experience. 

Sam is now a fully qualified veterinary nurse with a keen interest in surgery and exotic species.  Having spent some time with our Whitchurch veterinary team Sam has transferred to Silva House Veterinary Centre as Deputy Head Nurse.

In his spare time, Sam looks after his growing menagerie of animals and looks after the Boss's pampered pooch Ruby.

Ursula joined Highcroft in 2005 and qualified as a veterinary nurse in January 2006.

She has since gained a Diploma in Clinical Veterinary Nursing and a Degree in Advanced Veterinary Nursing. Ursula works at our Whitchurch hospital and surgery as a referrals nurse. She has a special interest in interest in surgery and anaesthesia.

Rachel joined Highcroft as a Veterinary Nurse in June 2015 and works at our Whitchurch Hospital and surgery. She qualified in 2006 from Duchy College in Cornwall and has an interest in cases generating from our referrals centre. She has a cat who is 4 years old, who has three legs. Outside of work she enjoys socialising with friends and family, and going to yoga and concerts.

Rachel graduated from Langford and came to work for HIghcroft in 2006. She is ‘bonkers about bunnies’ (in the nicest possible way) and has two rabbits at home, including a wild rabbit which she hand-reared from a week old.

Rachel now acts as buying co-ordinator for the group and is based at our Hospital in Whitchurch.

Sally has a Labrador called Maisie Moo and enjoys walking her with friends and spending time with her husband and daughter Sophie.

Eveleen joined Highcroft in August 2016 having qualified as a registered nurse, from Hartpury College in April 2012. She is based at our Shirehampton Veterinary Centre and loves seeing puppies! Eveleen is interested in dog behaviour and is also studying for her 'Think Dog' Behaviour Certificate.

At home Eveleen has a cat called Crunchie and a dog called Disley. She enjoys spending time with her daughter, family days out and watching football.

Sarah is currently studying for her rehabilitation qualification to assist our orthopaedic team. Sarah also works in our Insurance Department preparing pet insurance claims.

Janine qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1986 and joined Highcroft in 2006 as Head Nurse at Keynsham Veterinary Centre.

As head nurse, Janine helps to organize the nursing duties and ensures that we maintain our high clinical standards. Janine is particularly interested in hand-rearing orphaned animals, many of which have been rescued by members of the public and brought into the surgery - she has hand reared owls, squirrels, hedgehogs, rabbits, kittens and puppies before finding new homes for them.

Caroline joined Highcroft at the end of 2009 as a final year veterinary nurse student (BSc). She has since completed her degree and now one of our most highly qualified nurses. She supports our surgical team.

Caroline, together with Gemma Pitt, won a runner up prize in 2011 for running a local nurse event during Veterinary Nursing Week. 

She has a Jack Russell Terrier called Doug.

Clare joined Highcroft in June 2015 having qualified from Hartpury College in 2014. She works as a veterinary nurse and is based at our Whitchurch surgery and hospital and has a special interest in anaesthesia, surgery and caring for inpatients.

She has a flat coated retriever called Jenny and a tabby cat called Logan. When not caring for animals she enjoys walking, hiking and a spot of retail therapy.

Ellie has been with Highcroft since June 2014, initially as a student nurse from Hartpury College and in 2016 as a qualified nurse. She is based at our Highcroft Hospital in Whitchurch and is interested in Emergency and Critical care and dental work.

Outside of Highcroft she likes to travel, go to the gym and horse riding. She has two cats, Izzy a tortoiseshell and Chloe, a black DSH who is full of character and has 'Jekyll and Hyde' tendencies.

Sarah joined Highcroft in 2008 and is based at our Whitchurch hospital and surgery. Sarah is our cardiology nurse and works closely with cardiology specialist Kieran Borgeat.

Sarah is a keen horse rider and has a horse called Bert and a dog called Paddy. She is currently studying for a degree in Counselling.

Alex joined Highcroft in December 2011 as a member of the veterinary team at our Whitchurch hospital and surgery. She is based at our Whitchurch hospital and surgery and is a member of the Emergency and Critical Care team working closely with Helen Wilson our Emergency and Critical Care Specialist.  

Alex is our higher education (HE) student co-ordinator for veterinary nurses.

In her free time she likes to read (a lot) and also enjoys hiking and travelling.

Originally from Cardiff, Cherie came over the bridge to Bristol at the age of seventeen to follow a veterinary nursing career. When first working with us back then she would often say something like “ruddwyn weddy bllyno lan!” (Welsh for “am I tired!”) but now as a full-time working Mum she has boundless energy, keeping the people side of the practice in order. Cherie is one of our most senior nurses at our Longwell Green surgery.

Sue has a long history of veterinary nursing and joined Longwell Green Veterinary Centre in September 2009. She has also achieved the Certificate in Applied Animal Behaviour from Southampton University, and runs behaviour clinics to deal with all the problems our pets might encounter.

Laura is based at our main Hospital and surgery in Whitchurch. She has an interest in orthopaedics, emergency and critical care and is currently doing a certificate in emergency and critical care.

Outside of HIghcroft Laura enjoys going to the gym, shopping and eating out.

Vicky originally joined Highcroft in 2008 as a Kennel Person.

She cared for our inpatients, feeding, walking and comforting them where required. She assisted our veterinary nurses to make sure that everything is clean. 

She then started training to be a veterinary nurse, working with the team at the Whitchurch hospital and successfully qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in August 2015.

Nimisha joined Highcroft in February 2016 as a registered veterinary nurse based at our HIghcroft Veterinary Hospital and surgery in Whitchurch.  She has a special interest in Immunology and Genetics (Bio informatics) and has a BSc in Veterinary Nursing and Bioveterinary Science. 

Nimisha has two cats, a tortoiseshell called Astra and black domestic short hair called Luna. She enjoys swimming, baking, tv and films.

She is based at our Whitchurch hospital and surgery and also works alongside Jim Carter and Vim Kumaratunga at our ophthalmology clinic at Stockwood.  Laurie is a clinical coach mentoring our student nurses and has a keen interest in medicine.

Laurie regularly runs our First Aid Evenings client evening with Caroline Webber.

Rebecca joined Highcroft in May 2016 having qualified from Bristol University in July 2015   She is a night nurse at our Highcroft Veterinary Hospital in Whitchurch caring for our in-patient pets and supporting our night vets. Rebecca answers our emergency telephone offering first aid and emergency guidance to clients and directing them to the hospital where required.  Rebecca has a honours degree  in Veterinary Nursing and Bio veterinary Science and has a special interest in exotics, wildlife, emergency, critical care and inpatient care.

Outside of work Rebecca enjoys rock climbing and travelling.  She has a lion head rabbit called Kevin and a Syrian hamster called Barnaby.

Natalie qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1999 and joined Highcroft with Keynsham Veterinary Centre (formerly Charlton Park) in 2006. She continues to work at our Keysham surgery helping the vets in surgery and looking after our clients and their pets on reception. Natalie is always happy to give advice to clients on pet related topics such as diet, worming and flea control, behaviour etc.

Kelly joined Highcroft in 2001 with a Diploma in Animal Care, and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2006.

Kelly has a special interest in laboratory work and used to run our state-of-the-art blood sampling laboratory at our Whitchurch Hospital and surgery.  More recently Kelly has transferred to our Eastville Veterinary Centre as Head Nurse and supports the veterinary surgeons and general running of the veterinary centre.

Michelle qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2004, after working in a veterinary practice for 7 years. She worked for the Wrench Veterinary Group/ Bath Veterinary Group before joining Silva House in 2006. Since going on maternity leave to have her daughter Kimberley and then son Daniel, she now works on a part time basis. Michelle has a keen interest in feline behaviour.

Michelle has a cat called Polly and two guinea pigs Rosie and Holly. When she is not is work she enjoys spending time with family, holidays and swimming.

She qualified from Bristol University in 2016 and has a Batchelor of Science in Veterinary Nursing and Bio-veterinary Sciences. Sarah has an interest in exotics having written her dissertation on rabbit behaviour and stress.

Outside of work Sarah is interested in photography and is self teaching and learning Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) photography.

Fay qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2002 and joined Highcroft in 2004.

She was a night nurse at our Whitchurch Veterinary Hospital for many years, caring for our in-patient pets (along with our nursing auxiliaries) and supporting our out of hours vets.

Fay is now Head Nurse at Eastville Veterinary Centre and supports the veterinary surgeons and general running of the veterinary centre.

Talia joined Highcroft in April 2016 as a Kennel Assistant based at our busy Hospital and Surgery in Whitchurch.  She cares for our inpatients, feeding, walking and comforting them where required. She also assists our veterinary nurses and makes sure that everything is organised clean and tidy.

Talia has a 2 cats, a Siamese and a Havanna Oriental and 2 corn snakes. She enjoys going out with friends, boxing and visiting animal rescue centres to spend time with the animals.

Maxine joined Highcroft in May 2016 as a Kennel Assistant based at our Eastville Veterinary Centre.  She is responsible for caring, feeding, walking pets as and where required.  She also assists our vets and nurses and makes sure that everything is clean, tidy and organised.

Maxine has two chinchillas, two rabbits and one cat.

Carly joined Highcroft in April 2014 as a Kennel Assistant.  She works with Jordan caring for our inpatients, feeding, walking and comforting them where required. She also assists our veterinary nurses and makes sure that everything is ship shape and clean.

Carly has a Border Collie called Holly and a budgie called BooBoo.
