Pet of the Month – Mask Wood

Monday, April 21, 2014

Our May Pet of the Month is Mask Wood, a gorgeous 7 year old Husky nominated by his owner Fran. Fran tells us that ‘Mask has suffered with many illnesses and conditions throughout his short life. He was 7 years old this April and I feel pet of the month would be an excellent way of celebrating his birthday as I am not sure how many more he may have’.

We can confirm that poor Mask has visited us with more than his fair share of health problems. He has ongoing skin problems and hypothyroidism (a disorder in which the thyroid glands are underactive) and is on constant medication as a result. He has also visited us with urinary and gastro intestinal problems (including a bone that was stuck in his stomach!). As if that wasn’t enough, he also has stiff joints.

Despite all these health issues, Mask is a good natured, patient dog and a great big cuddly teddy bear.

Well done Mask.
