Trust Me, I'm A Vet

We have a TV star in our midst!

Highcroft Ophthalmologist, Vim Kumaratunga, is one of the starring presenters in the new BBC TWO TV series, 'Trust Me I'm A Vet'.

In this new series, a team of practising vets use the latest veterinary research, access to world-leading experts and brand new science to seek out the very best advice for taking care of pets.

The first episode, which aired on Wednesday 3rd May, featured Vim uncovering the latest techniques to avoid a serious bone disease that affects over half of all pet reptiles. As well as feeding them a calcium-rich diet and providing the right heat and lighting conditions, Vim discussed the latest research on a type of UV light that could help avoid the disease completely. Whereas in episode two, Vim investigates some of the common myths involved in keeping fish as pets (*Spoiler Alert* they're more complicated than you'd think!)

We're very proud of Vim for taking part in this fantastic new project and it's great seeing him on our TV screens each week!

Episode 3 airs on Wednesday 17th May at 8pm on BBC2 TWO.
